Defence & Nuclear

Komponenten für sicherheitskritische, wissenschaftliche und strategische Infrastruktur.

Nuklearer Transport- und Lagerbehälter aus der Serienfertigung von DWE

In the defence and nuclear sectors, the highest demands on safety, quality, and verification meet exceptional component sizes and demanding manufacturing tasks. DWE manufactures components for nuclear applications, research infrastructures, and navy and defence projects, combining engineering, special-materials expertise, welding technology, and industrial manufacturing at a single site.

The same manufacturing and engineering capabilities used for reactors, pressure vessels, and large-scale apparatus in the process industry also form the basis for projects with the highest demands on tightness, dimensional accuracy, documentation, and traceability.

Market environment

Nuclear applications, fusion technology, and defence projects require a combination of industrial manufacturing capacity, quality-assured series production, and the precise implementation of complex technical requirements.

Alongside exceptional materials and geometries, the focus is on complete documentation, reproducible manufacturing quality, and long-term verification. It is precisely this combination of large-part manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance that DWE has demonstrated over decades in international projects.

Why DWE

An enclosed site, qualified European supply chains, high in-house manufacturing depth, and comprehensive testing and documentation capabilities create the prerequisites for safety- and quality-critical projects. The range of realized projects extends from nuclear transport and storage casks, through components for fusion research facilities and large-scale scientific projects, to applications in the navy and defence environment.

Resilient fuels

A robust energy supply requires flexible and diversified production routes. Power-to-liquids and biomass-to-liquids technologies enable the production of synthetic fuels from various carbon and hydrogen sources, thereby reducing dependence on individual raw-material and supply chains.

Depending on the plant configuration, synthetic kerosene, diesel, and military fuel grades can be produced. DWE supports this development with reactor, engineering, and manufacturing expertise for industrial Power-to-X plants.
