FCC units, hydrocrackers and other process-critical refinery units place the highest demands on design, materials and manufacturing quality. DWE manufactures the required large-scale equipment and components on a project-specific basis, individually tailored to the customer. The focus is on components whose reliability is decisive for plant availability, throughput and profitability.

Equipment and components

FCC reactors and regenerators

Core components of the FCC process with dimensions up to 10 m in diameter. Delivery of fully equipped units including internals, cyclones for catalyst separation and refractory lining.

Hydrocrackers and hydrotreaters

Large-format high-pressure reactors made of high-temperature chromium steels, often with stainless-steel cladding or weld overlay and subsequent heat treatment (PWHT).

Reformer furnaces as well as tube bundles for convection and radiation zones.

Pressure-retaining replacement components

Reactor heads, regenerator heads up to 20 m in diameter, strippers, Y-pieces and other replacement parts for turnarounds and revamps.

Internals

Air grids, steam rings, combustor risers, internal risers and other process-relevant internals.

Piping and FCC components

Vapour lines, overhead lines, risers, flue-gas lines, third- and fourth-stage separators, orifice chambers and other high-temperature components.

Special equipment

Waste heat recovery units (WHRU), high-pressure vessels and components made of duplex steel, nickel-based alloys, titanium, magnesium or zirconium.

Materials expertise

For the demanding operating conditions of modern refineries, DWE processes a broad spectrum of materials – from high-temperature chromium steels and stainless-steel cladding through duplex materials to nickel-based alloys, titanium and zirconium. Materials are selected on a project-specific basis, according to the respective requirements for temperature, pressure, corrosion resistance and service life.
