Your Responsibilities
- Strategically building and further developing the Defence business unit within DWE GmbH
- Identifying, analysing and evaluating national and international market potential in the defence and security sector
- Developing and implementing a sustainable sales and business development strategy for the Defence division
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, partners, government agencies, procurement organisations and industrial companies in the defence sector
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities, and opening up new markets and applications for DWE GmbH’s product and service portfolio
- Initiating, managing and supporting projects and tenders through to successful contract signature
- Monitoring market, technology and competitive developments in the defence environment and deriving corresponding recommendations for action
- Responsibility for defining, planning and achieving sales and growth targets in the Defence segment
- Representing the company at trade fairs, congresses, industry association events and customer meetings
Your Qualifications
- A successfully completed degree in business administration, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, process engineering or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in business development, sales, programme management or project business within the defence, aerospace, security or industrial sectors
- Sound knowledge of the structures, procurement processes and market requirements of the defence sector
- Experience working with public sector clients, procurement organisations or international industrial customers is an advantage
- Confident manner along with excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- The ability to recognise market potential, analyse complex customer requirements and derive successful business strategies from them
- An independent, structured and results-oriented working style
- Business-fluent German and English, spoken and written
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
