Your Responsibilities
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of the quality team and the welding department
- Advising and supporting the specialist departments on implementing and complying with relevant standards, codes and customer requirements
- Responsibility for quality planning and quality documentation
- Determining and planning the investment budget for the quality and welding departments
- Reviewing and evaluating customer specifications during the quotation and project phases
- Carrying out damage and root-cause analyses for national and international customer projects
- Supporting the creation and further development of material and raw-material specifications
- Ensuring compliance with all quality-relevant processes and initiating improvement measures
- Further developing the quality management system and ensuring compliance with international standards
- Responsibility for national and international certifications, including ISO 9001, ASME U/U2/S Stamp, China Manufacturer License for Pressure Vessels (A1) & Boilers, National Board R Stamp, ISO 3834-2, EN 1090, AD 2000-Merkblatt HP 0, EN 13445, EN 13480, DIN 2303, KTA approvals and other relevant codes and standards
- Conducting internal audits, supplier audits and documentation reviews
- Responsibility for the quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001, ASME and the China Manufacturer License
Your Qualifications
- A completed degree in engineering, for example in mechanical engineering, materials science or a comparable field. Alternatively, further training as a Mechanical Engineering Technician (m/f/d) with several years of professional experience in quality management and welding
- Additional qualification as an International Welding Engineer (IWE) or, alternatively, as an International Welding Technologist (IWT)
- Several years of leadership experience in quality management within a manufacturing industrial company
- Sound knowledge of international quality standards, certifications and approval procedures
- Experience in pressure vessel, plant, boiler or steel construction is an advantage
- Comprehensive knowledge of welding technology, materials engineering and both destructive and non-destructive testing
- Experience working with auditors, notified bodies and inspection authorities
- Experience leading interdisciplinary teams
- Experience with continuous improvement processes (CIP) and lean management methods
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in pressure equipment and plant engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A confident manner when dealing with customers, inspection organisations and authorities
- Good spoken and written German and English
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
