Your Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for the technical, scheduling and commercial handling of complex orders in the oil & gas sector, in particular the maintenance of FCC units
  • Planning, coordinating and overseeing refinery shutdowns at international customer sites — including responsibility for cost, schedule and quality (approx. 85–90% travel)
  • Ensuring compliance with technical specifications, contractual agreements and all relevant quality and delivery requirements
  • Managing document exchange and approval processes with customers, partners and inspection bodies
  • Supporting the customer with budgeting and contributing internally to quotation preparation
  • Commissioning, coordinating and overseeing subcontractors and partners
  • Identifying and negotiating order changes and additional scope
  • Leading and facilitating agile project teams
  • Running regular project jour fixes, collecting reports and creating action plans for all departments involved
  • Conducting lessons-learned reviews and documenting the resulting actions in the system
  • Building and maintaining long-term, collaborative customer relationships
  • Creating, maintaining and monitoring an overall project schedule
Your Qualifications
  • A completed engineering degree, mechanical engineering technician training or a comparable qualification; alternatively, further training as a Master Craftsman (Meister) with relevant experience in refinery or reactor construction
  • Experience in project management and order handling, ideally in refinery or chemical plant construction
  • High commitment, strong decision-making ability and excellent execution skills
  • Technical understanding, a results-oriented mindset and the ability to consistently drive solutions forward
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and a strong customer focus
  • Openness to new ways of thinking and working
  • High willingness to travel, intercultural competence and a confident presence in an international environment
  • Resilience, assertiveness and a strong hands-on mentality
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent command of English
  • Confident use of SAP and MS Office applications
